Biography:

Milagro Romero Rodriguez (Millie) was born in NYC and bred in the East New York section of Brooklyn, NY.  From an early age, she was always creating something; whether it was creating her own toys, or creating classroom decor in grammar school.

She applied her passion for art and drama, earning a bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Stage and Costume Design from Brooklyn College. Her creative talents were used for designing and making props for the musical, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and designing and making costumes for The Promise by Aleksei Arbuzov. She also assisted with set building and costumes for other Brooklyn College productions. She put her artistic journey on hold to obtain a legal degree, raise a family and run a small legal practice in White Plains, N.Y.

After moving to Randolph, N.J. in 2005 as part of her partner’s corporate relocation, she continued working in the corporate world until 2021. With the rigors of child rearing behind her, she decided to refine her artistic skills by studying fine art at The County College of Morris in Randolph, N.J. and the Visual Arts Center in Summit, N.J. Her work has been exhibited throughout New Jersey at the Visual Arts Center in Summit, The County College of Morris in Randolph, the Fletcher Gallery in Mendham, the Art Upstairs Gallery in Morristown and the Arts on Main Gallery in Rockaway.

Milagro lives with her family in Randolph, N.J. Her studio is in her home surrounded by the natural beauty of a mountain lake community.
